Gerotor fumes

The gerotor pair is the consumable working part of a single-screw pumping unit and consists of two main elements: a rotor and a stator. It is these details that determine the working process of the pump.

General Information

Standard pressure sizes:

Designation Pressure Note
00 6 bar Standard version
01 6 bar Productivity is 2 times higher at the same RPM
02 12 bar Increased blood pressure
03 18 bar High pressure
04 24 bar Maximum pressure

Materials of stators (elastomers)

The choice of stator material is determined by the properties of the pumped medium and the operating conditions.:

  • HNBR (hydrogenated butadiene-nitrile rubber) is resistant to high temperatures and abrasive wear, and has good physical properties. Temperature range: -40 to +125 °C. It surpasses traditional butadiene-nitrile rubber in oil and heat resistance.
  • xNBR (carboxylated butadiene-nitrile rubber) is a modification with the addition of acid groups. Temperature range: -40 to +100 °C. It is characterized by increased elongation and improved resistance to abrasive wear.
  • EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene rubber) is a chemically resistant elastomer. It is resistant to acidic and alkaline solutions (up to 10%), as well as to abrasive particles. Temperature range: -55 to +110 °C.
  • FKM (Viton, fluorinated rubber) is used in oil production, when pumping petroleum products, aggressive chemical liquids and salt solutions. Temperature range: -20 to +180 °C. Moderate resistance to abrasives.

Rotor materials

The rotors of the Belgorod Hydromechanical Plant are made of the following types of steel:

  • 2436 (analog 40X) — heat-treated steel, high strength;
  • 4571 (analog 10X17H13M2T) — corrosion-resistant stainless steel;
  • 4571 HV — corrosion-resistant chrome-plated steel;
  • 4571 HV (250 µm HVC) is a corrosion—resistant chrome-plated steel with increased wear resistance.

Stators

Stator elastomers are made of the following materials:

  • HNBR (hydrogenated butadiene-nitrile rubber). It has relative resistance to high temperatures, abrasive wear and good physical properties. The temperature range is -40 to +125 °C. Better resistance to high temperatures and oils than traditional nitrile butadiene rubber.
  • xNBR (carboxylated butadiene-nitrile rubber). Modification of butadiene-nitrile rubber by adding acid groups. The temperature range is -40 to +100 °C. The tensile strength and resistance to abrasive wear are increased compared to traditional butadiene-nitrile rubber.
  • EPDM (ethylene propylene-diene rubber). Chemically resistant elastomer. It is resistant to solutions with an acid or alkali concentration of up to 10%, as well as to the presence of abrasive particles in the pumped liquid. Operating temperature -55…+1100C
  • FKM (Viton) (fluorinated rubber). It is used in pumps for oil production, when pumping petroleum products, aggressive chemical liquids and salt solutions. Wide operating temperature range -20…+1800C. Resistance to abrasive particles is moderate
