Instrumentation and Control System

BGMZ LLC offers control and measuring devices and automation for complex protection of screw pumping units. The system provides control of three critical parameters: protection against “dry running”, overpressure at the outlet and discharge at the inlet.

The package includes:

• control cabinet with automation, measuring regulators, buttons and warning lights;
• temperature, pressure and discharge sensors in general industrial or explosion-proof design for operation in all conditions.

Protection against “dry running”

“Dry running” is an emergency operation mode of the pump, in which there is no pumped medium. The liquid performs the function of lubrication and cooling of the gerotor pair, so its absence leads to overheating and deformation of the working elements.

The protection system turns off the pump when the critical temperature is reached. Principle of operation: the sensor (thermocouple) controls the heating of the gerotor pair, the thermostat compares the readings with the set limit, and the control cabinet stops the unit.

Additional equipment

At the request of the customer, the pumps are equipped with frequency converters for smooth flow control. Advantages of using:

• smooth start, reducing loads;
• protection of the electric motor;
• energy savings.

To ensure the operation of double mechanical seals, non-removable tanks are offered, equipped with a visual liquid monitoring level, a pressure gauge and a temperature sensor. It can be equipped with additional monitoring devices according to the customer’s technical specifications.
